Take me out to the ball game

so i went to my first baseball game, it wasn't a major league game,
but it was the Las Vegas 51s vs the Beavers, the 51s are a feeder
team for the LA dodgers (major league team). I always thought
baseball was rather stupid in comparison to cricket, and it was only
fair that one of my friends whom i went to the game with, I subjected
them to cricket when they were in adelaide.

On the upside it was "thirsty thursday" so you could get $1 beers,
the downside was at the end of the match a fight broke out, a few
punches were thrown a shirt was ripped, a 4 year old kid fell over,
a hot dog stand was unhinged and chubby security guards were sent running
into action.

When at the cricket in adelaide my american friend asked some questions
like:
"what are the little sticks on top of the big sticks" -ie bails
"what happens if the ball hits your leg before the wicket", hmmm
well that would be LBW lol.

Well i can say once u understand the rules of baseball, it certainly
is better to watch but still its just not cricket...

Did get a hotdog, tho i think was the only person that day to say the
whole name and not just a "hotdog".

Oh and they didnt play the baby elephant walk song !
